Retrospect to the former times, Thailand is a great agriculture country renowned that in the water there are plenty of fish while in the paddle fields there is an abundance of rice. Almost Thai farmers work from dawn to dusk the whole year-round as after the annual rice harvest, they will again cultivate the second-rice crop, other fruit crops and other domestic animals such as fish, chicken etc.

Once the big bloom of industrial came across the world and the need of fuel oil is rise up rapidly. Many Thai farmers leave their routine work and change their career as capenter and marson in consturction project in Middle East countries such as Saudi Arabia, Libia and Yemen etc on the Arabian Peninsula. Adenium came into Thailand at this time around 25 years ago by hand carry when they go back to home town.

Almost of Adeniums brough to Thailand in those time called in Thai is Yak Saudi and Yak mean to huge. After a few years there's so many kinds of plant promoted in Adenium grower society. Their name were re-definited by use word "Yak" as prefix follow with the name of place where the mother plant there. Such as "Yak Muang Kong" mean the mother plant is being in "Kong" town. "Yak Loburi" mean the mother plant is being in "Lopburi" province. On the other hand, it also has another way in name given. For example "Yak Na Wang" or "Petch Na Wang" mean the mother plant came from a cutting brach of plant that growing in front of the palace in Saudi Arabia.

At the first state, most of Adenium species brough to Thailand are Arabicum and Obesum. A few years later, there's some plants that haven't show fast growing as natural of Arabicum and have forming of plant look like bonsai ie. bush branchs, nice caudex and vary of root style. Now we defined them as Thai Socotranum. In nature Adenium grow in dry arid conditions. They develop large fat caudex (trunks) for water storage acknowledge as the " bottle tree " (swollen-stemmed trees) as same as the baobab tree that also store water this way. In the wild they can become massive cylinder caudex and very impressive over time. Besides of the beauties of fat caudex, they also flower with varieties of color and style, beyond description of root style and particular form of branchs.
